GCW were appointed by Zolfo Cooper on Jane Norman Realisations Ltd, the largest fashion administration of 2011. This marked GCW’s fourth appointment this year following on the successful disposal of a number of stores from the demise of British Bookshops Sussex Stationers.
GCW completed a pre-administration report on Jane Norman’s retail property assets and was then appointed by administrators Zolfo Cooper to undertake disposal of the properties. A substantial number of stores were taken by Edinburgh Woollen Mill and GCW marketed the remaining 30 stores in a very tight timeframe achieving substantial premium and surrender offers in excess of £100,000.
In addition to GCW’s work for administrators they are increasingly being consulted on for advice on restructuring and by those looking invest in retail businesses.
